Segoe Print Overview

About
Initially, the Segoe Sans and Serif fonts were designed by Steve Matteson during his employment at Agfa Monotype and then licensed to Microsoft for use as a branding typeface and user interface font. Segoe Print and Script were later developed based on the handwriting of Monotype Imaging employee Brian Allen, developed by Carl Crossgrove, Karl Leuthold, and James Grieshaber (Typeco).
Segoe Print and Script each include 2 weights. My part in all this was to extend the font set to support WGL character sets by creating the Central European, Cyrillic, and Greek glyphs. And then create Bold versions. This font was patented by Microsoft, I was listed as one of the designers on these patents. |
