Fontstructions
FontStruct is a free font-building tool sponsored by FontShop. The ‘FontStructor’ online font editor lets you create fonts constructed out of geometrical shapes, which are arranged in a grid pattern, like tiles or bricks. Of course I had to mess around and make up a bunch of minimal grid-based fonts.

This historical document was brought to my attention by Steven Heller's The Daily Heller column over at ImPrint. Interesting to see protection concerns even before the age of digitization.
