Woodtype is a set of four fonts based on rare specimens of American wood printing types from the late 1800s.
Woodtype Regular is a Tuscan styled font originally made in wood by the William H. Page Type Company circa 1887. The main upper and lower case design is based on a font known as "15 line 513 Class M". The Small Caps font is based on a variation of the same basic design that was modified to function as a companion to the Regular font.
Woodtype Extras One & Two feature over 150 decorative elements, single words, concentric stars, pointing hands and linking borders. The ornaments are based on some of the hundreds of wood type ornaments offered by the same companies that made the wood type alphabets.
Woodtype has 4 variations:
Regular | Small Caps | Extras 1| Extras 2
These fonts are available from P22 type foundry.
